Feeling like you're missing out?
If you are someone who is tired of always feeling restless because they don't know what's their life purpose or if you just can't seem to shake that feeling of being "lost" I totally get you.
Because most of my early adult life I've felt exactly the same. Feeling lost, not getting a grasp of the things that were happening to me (or what they meant), always feeling like I'm at the effect of the events, never at the cause. Procrastinating and mentally arousing myself with too much information and not taking enough action. Trying to please everyone while always feeling like I'm disconnected and forced to feel like an outsider of the group.
The one thing
First of all, let me just put this out there. You're probably normal. There's just a huge mess between who you are and who you think you could become. In a world of constant distractions, you've just stopped listening to the things that matter.
I'm not a life coach. I'm not a psychologist. I'm not a guru of any sort. I'm not going to try to sell you the magic pill. I'm sharing and documenting with you lessons, stories, and tools that I've learned from my own mentors and experiences.
My life started to change its course around 3 years ago. When I decided that I would not graduate university and that I would quit the steady job I had back then and travel the world. Face my fears, push my limits, take odd jobs, put myself in awkward situations. No money, no connections, no mommy and daddy savings to fall back on. I was feeling like for someone so young and in his prime, life was not as exciting as I was expecting it to be. I was not living my story. What was my story even? Much of my life until around 2014, I was living in survival mode. Bored, burn out, stressed, anxious, loveless, alone, disconnected and the list can go on. I already knew what my story was going to be like because the pattern was repeating itself constantly, so I decided to focus on one thing: To change my story. And see how far I can take it.
I've laughed, I've cried, I've loved, I've lost, I've made amazing friendships, I've felt lonely many times, I've volunteered for just a roof over my head, I've worked in evil corporate jobs, I've started businesses, I've failed at some of them. And I'm still going through this journey until today. Because I've learned one important lesson so far.
You cannot fear the consequences of going after the things you want in life
I truly believe that everyone has a story to share. Some have empowering stories that rise themselves and others up. Some have limiting stories that they tell to themselves each day that is stopping them from doing anything worthwhile.
You are the stories you tell yourself and I am here to help you create a great one by documenting my own adventures and lessons from traveling to over 30 countries and interacting with teachers, mentors and specific events that shaped the person I am today.
The sole purpose of this blog is to help you become more self-aware of your strengths and the capacity to create something meaningful from that through my own lessons about social dynamics & relationships, work ethic & business, purpose & creativity. All backed by social science and psychology lessons I've gathered along the way.
I want to help you be at the cause of things happening in your life, not at the effect, by documenting the weird and challenging lessons I'm also facing as a young man on his path of figuring things out.

So who am I?
My name is Andrei Cimbru. I’m the owner and writer behind Rule Your Way.
I ask a lot of questions.
Too many questions in fact.
One of my favorites is "Why the hell not?"
Some have totally loved my writing and told me I saved their lives. Others have told me I am a keyboard wielding jerk who should know his place in the hierarchy.
That's when I knew I must be doing something right.
I'm an engineer by education, amateur powerlifter by hobby, and writer in training. Since I was a kid I was always curious what makes people tick. While traveling to more than 30 countries, living and volunteering in many different environments to make ends meet, I eventually found myself speaking in front of audiences of 500+ millennials about habit building, building genuine connections, and creating remarkable work. I've helped several startup owners kickstart their business by helping them achieve the optimal product-market fit and teaching them how to reach their ideal audience with a powerful message. I was constantly pushed out of my comfort zone and got my belief system flipped over many times, and so far I’ve made it until here.
My work has been published in news outlets like Huffington Post, Ask Men, Thought Catalog, and many others. Most of what I write is written for myself. After reading more than 200 books on personal development and psychology, teaching multiple people across several countries on how to start impactful projects and screwing things up with a burning passion I've learned a couple of lessons along the way that I’m glad to share with you.
